The Vow of the Hospitallers of St. Martin
A New Monastic Christian Community for Veterans Ministry
In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
I, Sister/Brother _________________, canonically resident in the Diocese of ___________, promise with vows valid for three years, before God and his Saints, in the presence of my Parent in Christ _____________________ , Bishop of _______ and my Companions.
In the True Faith of a Christian, may God witness that I hereby vow and dedicate myself as a servant of Christ, the Poor, and those who have been changed by war.
I promise to be faithful and loyal to Christ and to be guided by the Rule of Life of The Hospitallers of St. Martin, a New Monastic Christian Community in the Episcopal Church for Veterans Ministry. I promise to do everything in my power to conduct myself always as a true follower of Christ.
I will adorn my service with true Charity, seeking to bring the reconciling love of Jesus to those who need it most. I will wear on my person the Episcopal Church Service Cross, to constantly remind me of my faithful vow of always bearing in my heart the Cross of Jesus Christ, adorned with the virtues that attend it. So help me God.
In witness whereof I have prepared this document and signed it here at _____________________ on the ____ day of _________, in the year of our Lord _____.
